New Mexico - now known affectionately as "Tamalewood" - is enjoying an explosion of business brought in by the making of films.   And with an environment specifically created to nurture and grow that industry, there seems to be no slow down in sight. 

Join us as we showcase New Mexico's own talented Producers, Writers, Directors and Actors!  Watch as we interview this interesting group of people and hear them tell their fascinating stories! 	Vanessa Vassar Vanessa moved to New Mexico in January 2000 and began working on her first documentary AMERICAN WAITRESS. Her most recent documentary CINDERELLAS OF SANTA Fe opened the Santa Fe Film Festival and won Best Documentary at the Iowa Independent Film Festival. Vanessa is working on her next documentary tentatively titled NIGHTWORK and is currently developing her first documentary-style feature film DOCUMENTING ALICE. Click here for Bio and Video.
	Lexie Shabel   Gringa Productions first produced HOUSE OF ROCK, a rockumentary about caveists and their homes that have been blasted from rock.  The next feature rockumentary was WE LIKE TO DRINK: We Like to Play Rock'n'Roll which follows The Unband, three boys who have been friends since childhood and lead a mockumentary type existence.  In production is THE ME FILM, following Shabel’s unconventional journey through breast cancer.
