POP GALLERY

Santa Fe, the second largest art hub in the US is refreshed by the emerging and established artists represented at Pop Gallery. Nestled across from the historic Coyote Cafe on Water Street the gallery hosts an environment embracing locals and tourists alike. Owners Michael McDowell and Sharla Throckmorton-McDowell bring over 15 years of diverse art experience to the gallery which will serve private and corporate collections throughout the world.

Whimsical works on paper and canvas are presented artfully in a lush & vibrant space unique to the city. Genres include illustration, animation, sculpture and encaustics with a focus on pop modernism art in numerous media. Bronze, wood and resin sculpture and furniture are offered in a modern vein.

POP Surreal Divas present original work in 2D and 3D for our 2nd Annual POP Femme Sugar Coated Strange Event to kick off the 2009 season. Reception with the artists Memorial weekend---Silent Art Auction to benefit Southwest C.A.R.E. Center which serves New Mexicans living with HIV and AIDS without prejudice.

Roster of talent under construction but does include Kathie Olivas, Artist Sisters CJ Metzger & Miss Mindy, Stephanie Roberts, Carrie Ann Baade, Marie Sena, Valery Milovic and Julie West among others.
